JEWELLERY: NMARRA BESPOKE: Small Leaf Necklace

NMARRA designs make a statement.

Made with traditional enamelling techniques these vibrant new pieces from Nmarra Design take inspiration from The Caged Bird’s Song tapestry. Just as the vibrant layered colour gradients have been translated from watercolour into tapestry form, these jewellery pieces utilise layering of different enamels to capitalise on their interactions to create painterly gradient effects.

Each piece has its own variation of colour and speckle, harnessing the unique irregularities between enamel layers that come to life through the firing process. Designed by Jen Stewart of Nmarra Design, these bold, playful pieces investigate a new way of working, to bring vibrant colour to her distinctive design lines. 

Shapes were inspired by the natural and ethereal themes of the tapestry, the surface tension of water droplets, leaf shadows and blooms which are translated into wearable pieces with a joyful feel.

NMARRA strives to bring intrigue and interest to affordable accessories. Designs take inspiration from the rich visual language of the natural world, reflect structure in our built environments and play with forms inspired by folk art and 20th century design.

​MANUFACTURE & CARE

​All pieces are designed and hand finished in Glasgow, using local suppliers and with component parts sourced from within the UK wherever possible. 

Enamel pieces are made with layers of fused particles. Each piece has its own surface variations due to the experimental techniques used. Made to be treasured, these pieces should be treated with care as could break like glass if dropped or impacted with hard surfaces. 

Transport with padding to ensure their safety. All findings are gold or silver plated, nickel free and hypoallergenic.
