An Introduction to Quilting by Hand with Liberty Fabrics | 20th and 27th February 2026

Join tutor Emma Tudor-Bloch on this short course, spread over two Friday mornings, where you will receive an introduction to quilting by hand.
This class is ideal for anyone wishing to learn the basics of quilting. Using the technique of English Paper Piecing (EPP) and working with beautiful Liberty fabrics, participants will learn how to design and create their own quilt square entirely by hand. Step by step, participants will be taught the process of drafting a quilt block and choosing, then preparing the fabric for their design, patchworking each piece together and eventually backing and quilting the design. Participants will leave with a completed quilt block, as well as the skills to begin their own more elaborate projects from home.
No prior experience is required, though the ability to accomplish very basic hand sewing would be beneficial.
All equipment and materials will be provided.
This is a two day workshop that runs on Friday and Friday
