Art Deco, Revivalism, Retro and Biba

In this engaging talk, Bruce Peter, author of Art Deco Scotland, explores Britain’s fascination with Art Deco revival and retro style. From inter-war modern design to the creative explosion of the 1960s, he examines how designers reworked historical and popular imagery. With references to Barbara Hulanicki, BIBA and other leading designers and commentators, Bruce reveals how retro-design helped shape post-modern culture.
