Join Edinburgh based Bookbinder Cass Barron to create an eye catching hardback book with exposed spine and buttonhole binding.

We'll take inspiration from Biba, working with fabrics, patterns and imagery inspired by the exhibition at Dovecot, resulting in a chunky book that works well as a personal journal or sketchbook.

There'll be lots of opportunity to personalise your book and incorporate a mix of remnant materials, including fabric, leather and decorative papers. 

Following the workshop you will receive access to Cass's video instructions for a reminder of the process should you wish to make more books at home.
