Jigsaw Linocut | 18th September 2026

Rosanna is a Northern Irish printmaker and illustrator based in Edinburgh. Working in linocut, she has a graphic and illustrative style that explores line, pattern and flat colour. She creates a variety of prints including single-colour illustrative prints as well as complex and detailed jigsaw or reduction prints, often characterised by bold colour palettes. She loves to explore the narratives that can be found in our surroundings and everyday life, with a light hearted approach. She hopes her prints tell stories about our relationships with nature and animals, people and our surroundings.
Rosanna has been teaching workshops for 3 years from her studio in Abbeyhill.

Learn the basics of linocut print and jigsaw printing in this workshop with Rosanna Reade, a professional printmaker. Jigsaw printing means cutting your block in order to add multiple colours to your design. This workshop is suitable for beginners and people with experience with linocut alike. Please note there are sharp tools in this class so it is not suitable for children. 

There will be some pre-prepared designs for you to work from, or you are welcome to bring your own to discuss and adapt for lino. The block we will be working on measures 10x15cm.
