This course is suitable for anyone wishing to learn how to transform a sheet of paper into a range of three-dimensional geometric forms.  It is preferable that participants have previously attended the ‘Paper Folding for Contemporary Design Workshop’ first but is not essential. We will build on your existing skills to explore alternative types of division as well as several new structures such as spiral folds, flat pleats and herringbone tessellations.

We will not be making functional products as such in this class, but you will learn a variety of inspiring techniques and designs with which you can experiment to design your own pieces or apply to your practice or discipline.

There will also be a brief introduction to the history of paper folding and the work of several contemporary artists to examine how folding is used in fashion, architecture and design.

All tools and a range of high-quality pre-cut papers will be provided.

Tickets £68.00
