Explore how tapestry can capture the natural world with Dovecot Studios in Edinburgh. From traditional 'millefleurs' and classical landscapes to contemporary evocations of water, plant life and paradise, this bite-sized online lunchtime talk will transport you to Scotland's world-renowned tapestry studio in Edinburgh. The talk will feature Dovecot's recent collaboration with Victoria Crowe (b.1945), one of Scotland’s leading painters whose sensibility for the natural world, and her skill at recording nature with different media has inspired two new artworks of Orkney.

This event is part of Art History Festival 2025 organised by the Association for Art History.

Please note, this talk will be held online. The link for accessing the talk will be sent to you before the talk begins.

Every ticket sold supports the work of The Dovecot Foundation to advance visual art, craft and design in all its forms.

Please note that tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable and may not be exchanged.

If you are unable to attend, please contact Dovecot on 0131 550 3660 or info@dovecotstudios.com to inform the Front of House team.
