Toile Tales with Timorous Beasties

Step into a Christmas-themed cabinet of curiosities as Dovecot welcomes Timorous Beasties to celebrate their new book, Toile Tales. Authors Steven Richardson and Paul Simmons spin a captivating series of stories, fables and myths that mirror the subversive Scottish toiles Timorous Beasties has become famous for. Enjoy a festive drink on arrival with a private viewing of Costume Couture: Sixty Years of Cosprop before the event starts. The in-conversation will be followed by a book-signing where you have the opportunity to purchase a copy of Toile Tales and meet Steven and Paul.

Timorous Beasties are a surreal and provocative design studio creating a diverse range of own products, collaborations and unique design projects internationally. Established in Glasgow in 1990 by Alistair McAuley and Paul Simmons, who met studying textile design at Glasgow School of Art, the studio has emerged as a multi-award-winning, internationally acclaimed icon.
